Tech-Rich Library: Meeting Your Expectations

The NIIM-SBA library seeks to follow international benchmarks in creation, upkeep, operation and up-gradation of its resources.
To meet the growing needs of the students, the library has acquired most of the important textbooks and reference books in almost all the functional areas of management and technology. It is also in the process of adding up to its list several international journals, magazines and newspapers. In order to make it convenient for students, the library is also acquiring several industrial reports, case studies and online resources, relevant to the various programs on offer.

The core strength of the library lies in its online resources. It subscribes to the EBSCO Business Premier and PROWESS databases. These are the most widely used databases in some of the world's best institutions. Through the EBSCO Business Premier, for instance, more than 3,000 international journals can be accessed online.

The Library houses a rich collection of CDs and videos on different aspects of management. Several annual reports from the public and the private sector organizations have been collected to be used as reference materials. Project reports and dissertations prepared by students are also well preserved.

Computer Lab: Spearheading Innovation

Every student is being provided a free laptop in addition our centralized laboratory with 240 machines, 24 hrs Internet access and latest software. NIIM-SBA seeks to develop technology facilities that are spun around a strategic architecture. This has been derived from the institution's mission and grand objectives. Therefore, the whole agglomerate of computers and communication devices operate as a system in the institution. The university computer lab is meant to spearhead all innovations, upgradations and modifications required to be undertaken from time to time to enable the institution offer quality education, training, research and consulting services.

All machines have been configured to support in areas ranging from simple applications like word processing and database management to network computing, graphics and animation. Statistical software like SPSS, SAS and BMDP are also accessible. In addition there are advanced applications like programming in Java, managerial accounting, decision support computing, data mining, E-Commerce and supply chain management, which students and faculty members find extremely useful. The network of Pentium machines is adequately matched and supported by a host of printer, scanners, modems other peripherals. Operating systems like DOS, Windows XP, Windows NT, Windows 2000, SCO Unix, Novel Network and 05/2 warp and other application technologies like MS-Office, SPSS, Corel Draw, Oracle, Power Builder, Java, Informix and Visual Studio etc. provide students with the requisite exposure to the environments and managerial computing.

Living in the Campus

The Meadows is really a beautiful home away from home. It is rare to find 23 acres of sprawling green interspersed by nicely designed residential structures. Infrastructure apart - which is undoubtedly among the most impressive you'll find anywhere - it is the complete ambience of the place that immediately strikes you.

The Meadows is NIIM SBA's plush, secure, fully gated residential facility located approximately one kilometer from the NIIM SBA campus on Mathura Road in South Delhi. Flanked by the up market Destination Point that houses Nirulas and factory outlets of major brands, the Meadows is only two to three kilometers away from other major shopping areas, and the New Delhi Railway Station is about an hour's drive from the Badarpur bus terminus which is close to the NIIM-SBA campus and the hostel.

The Meadows is a visual delight, tastefully landscaped with plenty of walking trails, lawns and quiet corners. Housing separate blocks for girls and boys with options of single and double occupancy accommodation, the hostel has round-the-clock security and electronic surveillance.

The Meadows Cafeteria offers a multi-cuisine menu that includes Indian, middle-eastern, continental, Italian and Chinese cuisine on rotation. It also has a separate Cafeteria Snack Bar, offering snacks and beverages. Since the cafeteria operates through a coupon payment system, there is substantial flexibility and there are no fixed monthly charges to be made. Meal coupons are available at the main NIIM Cafeteria

Hostel Facilities

The Meadows Residency offers excellent single, double and triple occupancy options for students according to their varying needs.
